- I am a teacher by profession, having taught in all possible venues, both public and private, from K to Adult. My favorite assignments have been in alternative education settings, where I have taught students with emotional and behavioral issues. I like the challenge of dealing with creative thinkers, and find them to be not only intelligent, but also spontaneous in their approach to life.
This shot gives you a feel for the battery arrangement unde the bed of the truck. With the bed tilted up, we have total access to the batteries, which we will need, as each battery needs to be checked for charge and fluids at least weekly. Say what you will about lead acid batteries, they are reliable and relatively easy to work with, once you get them in place. They are incredibly heavy, which prompted Bill and Al, two of our gurus with the EV club to built a motorized battery puller. Clever men with great hands-on experience!
