- I am a teacher by profession, having taught in all possible venues, both public and private, from K to Adult. My favorite assignments have been in alternative education settings, where I have taught students with emotional and behavioral issues. I like the challenge of dealing with creative thinkers, and find them to be not only intelligent, but also spontaneous in their approach to life.
This is what our truck looked like once we pulled the bed off the back and stored it in the garage. Although it seemed like a lot of room, adding 14 6 volt, deep cycle batteries managed to fill the space almost completely. Our objective was to keep the battery load as close to the cab end as possible, but it still took space beyond the wheels to fit all the batteries in. Note with this picture, we still have not removed the gas tank or the muffler and tail pipe assembly. With electric all these extra gadgets are unnecessary! With our tilt up bed we did lose the spare tire assembly, so we are thinking creatively about how to attach it in a kind of continental kit fashion.
