- I am a teacher by profession, having taught in all possible venues, both public and private, from K to Adult. My favorite assignments have been in alternative education settings, where I have taught students with emotional and behavioral issues. I like the challenge of dealing with creative thinkers, and find them to be not only intelligent, but also spontaneous in their approach to life.
This picture clearly shows the space we had to work with to install our 6 volt batteries. Rather than move batteries around in various positions, we made a couple of cardboard mockups that we could easily shift around to see what configuration worked best. Even though the transmission appears to evenly divide the space, there was more room on the left side, which allowed us to fit batteries side by side. We were advised to leave a little space between each battery to give the batteries some room to discharge heat, and to allow the batteries to be air cooled as they operate. (Other battery installations pack them in tightly against each other, but lose this extra cooling advantage.)
