That's a catchy phrase, when you think about it. Most of the Electric Conversion videos I have seen have a commentary about how thrilled they are to leave the gas stations behind as they drive silently by them with their newly created electric vehicle.
It always surprises me to see pictures of myself, because I feel much younger than I look. Here I am sitting in a Napa Valley Winery, sipping on one of their daily tasting specialties. I have never had extensive mechanical training, nor am I particularly skilled in troubleshooting; but I am resolutely stubborn until I get it right. It has been absolutely thrilling to put nrgymax together, as a viable alternative to gas consumption!
nrgymax is a newly established brand, which symbolizes our team effort to produce electrically powered cars and trucks, which rely on that power to get where they need to go. Together with my stepson, Lou Gagliano, and his son, Tommy, we began converting a 1988 Mitsubishi Mighty Max truck in April 2009.
With expert help from their cousin, Johnny, who is an experienced mechanic at Land Rover, we pulled the engine and all support systems connected to oil and gas consumption, leaving only those connections we would need for auxillary power. Gone was the gas tank, muffler, radiator, fan belt and everything associated with gasoline power.
I am a teacher by profession, having taught in all possible venues, both public and private, from K to Adult. My favorite assignments have been in alternative education settings, where I have taught students with emotional and behavioral issues. I like the challenge of dealing with creative thinkers, and find them to be not only intelligent, but also spontaneous in their approach to life.
